Hyderabad Artist Priti Samyukta Wins Prize at Tashkent Art Biennale

Hyderabad-based artist Priti Samyukta won third prize at the XI Tashkent International Art Biennale held in Uzbekistan from October 12 to 16. An associate professor and head of painting at JNAFAU, she presented three textile art works from her series Stitching Memories, including cloth appliqué and quilt-inspired pieces. Her textile art research deepened during a Fulbright-Nehru fellowship in Alabama.
