HD Kumaraswamy alleges NICE collected Rs 4,756 crore illegally from tolls

Union Minister HD Kumaraswamy accused Nandi Infrastructure Corridor Enterprise (NICE) of illegally collecting Rs 4,756.48 crore in tolls by violating the toll concession agreement. He revealed toll collections rose from Rs 5.59 crore in 2008-09 to Rs 734.97 crore in 2024-25. The original project cost was Rs 1,583.76 crore, but NICE collected three times that amount despite the project being incomplete.
