Government Considers Reviving ATF Price Stabilisation Fund Amid Fuel Cost Rise
The Indian government is considering reintroducing the aviation turbine fuel (ATF) price stabilisation fund as the ongoing West Asia crisis drives up fuel costs, impacting airline finances. Civil Aviation Minister K Rammohan Naidu confirmed discussions with airlines and oil marketing companies to address the issue. A similar fund was approved earlier with a Rs 10,000 crore budget but was not utilized by airlines and has since expired.
