Two government-backed startups, Soket AI and ZenteiQ, launched sovereign AI models designed to operate in air-gapped environments, fully disconnected from the internet. Soket AI introduced EKA-1, a 26.3 billion parameter model trained on 7.5 trillion tokens across 22 Indian languages and English. ZenteiQ released two open-source multilingual models, Dhīr 2B and Dhīr 5B, for secure offline use in critical sectors. The models perform inferencing locally, ensuring no data leaves the system.
