BusinessGold Holds Near $4,380 Amid Fed Hike and Falling Oil Prices
Gold prices steadied near $4,380 an ounce as falling oil prices and lower long-term Treasury yields offset pressure from expectations of another Federal Reserve rate hike before year-end. Despite the Fed's recent 25 basis point increase, gold recovered from a six-week low but remains below the $4,400 resistance level. US 10-year Treasury yields eased to 4.97%, and Brent crude dropped to around $101 a barrel.
