BusinessGermany Aims to Double Indian Overnight Stays by 2030
Petra Hedorfer, CEO of the German National Tourist Board, announced Germany's goal to double annual overnight stays by Indian visitors by 2030. Indian tourists recorded 928,635 overnight stays in 2025, a 3.4% increase from 2024. In 2026, overnight stays rose 2.9% from January to July, with 85,400 stays in July alone, up 3.6% year-on-year. Germany sees India as a key growth market due to strong economic and cultural ties.
