PoliticsFormer Kandala Bank President Alleges Audit Tampering in Scam
N. Bhasurangan, former president of Kandala Service Cooperative Bank in Thiruvananthapuram, accused the 2020-21 audit of deliberate tampering to inflate losses. He claimed the auditor exaggerated losses for political motives to damage the bank. Bhasurangan stated the bank actually made an operational profit of ₹3.47 crore, with revenue income of ₹22.59 crore and expenditure of ₹19.12 crore. A review plea is pending with the Director of Co-operative Audit.
