PoliticsFlorida Labels CAIR and Muslim Brotherhood as Terror Groups
Florida has designated the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) and the Muslim Brotherhood as domestic terrorist groups under its new terrorism law HB 1471. Approved by Governor Ron DeSantis and the Florida Cabinet on September 29, the move imposes sweeping restrictions on funding, contracts, and access to state institutions, citing alleged ties to Hamas and CAIR's role in the 2007 Holy Land Foundation trial. The designation bans these groups from state funding, contracts, and university campuses.
