Farmer Netraram Patel from Sarangarh-Bilaspur district benefited from the Prime Minister's Solar Home Free Electricity Scheme. His monthly electricity bill dropped from around Rs.2200-2300 to Rs.250-300 after installing rooftop solar panels, saving him about Rs.2000 each month. The savings support his farming expenses, improving his economic condition. He expressed gratitude to PM Modi and CM Vishnu Dev Sahay and urged other farmers to join the scheme.
