Ex-Kentucky Cheerleader Sentenced to 10 Years for Infant Son's Death

Laken Snelling, a former University of Kentucky cheerleader, was sentenced to 10 years in prison after pleading guilty to killing her newborn son, McCoy Cade Hall. The baby's body was found in a trash bag in her off-campus home closet in August 2025. Snelling pleaded guilty to first-degree manslaughter, abuse of a corpse, tampering with evidence, and concealing the birth. She will be eligible for parole after serving 85% of her sentence but not for probation.
