On June 25, 2026, Undue Medical Debt, supported by Evan Spiegel and Miranda Kerr, erased over $550 million in medical debt for more than 261,000 Californians. This is the largest statewide debt cancellation in California by the nonprofit, which buys unpaid medical bills and cancels them without requiring applications. The biggest relief was in San Diego County, wiping out $99 million for over 40,000 people.
