ECI Clarifies No Jail for Re-filling Form-6 if Name Missing in SIR

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has clarified that voters whose names are missing in the SIR draft list can safely fill Form-6 again without fear of jail. Filling the form despite being a previous voter will not be considered a false declaration or an offense under Section 31, provided the voter's name is not registered in another constituency. ECI has directed all states to widely publicize this rule.

SC Withholds BMC Commissioner's Salary Over Encroachment Failure
