EC Orders Special Drive to Add Left-Out Voters in 20 States

The Election Commission of India has directed 20 states and Union Territories, where the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls is complete, to conduct a special drive to enroll eligible voters left out during or after the revision. This includes young and first-time voters. The EC issued instructions to Chief Electoral Officers on September 29 and reiterated them in a recent video conference, allowing use of regular Form 6 for re-enrollment.
