DRDO Grants Free Testing Access to MSMEs and Startups

The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has allowed MSMEs and deeptech startups free access to testing facilities across 24 laboratories via a single portal under specified projects. Announced at VIMARSH on September 15 by Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, the initiative includes direct funding, incubation support, and secure sharing of DRDO software with licensed industries. Revised procedures waive testing charges for key defence projects, complementing iDEX's engagement with 676 startups and 551 contracts as of March 2026.

Kerala HC orders release of Rs 21,000 surgery aid to transgender person
