Delhi Orders Garbage and Dust Clearance by October 31

The Commission for Air Quality Management (CAQM) has directed the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to clear all accumulated dust, garbage, and construction waste from roads, medians, and footpaths across its 12 zones by October 31. The CAQM warned of prosecution if dust-control lapses continue. The order follows an October 3 inspection revealing heavy dust and debris on PWD roads. MCD must also enforce measures against open burning and improper waste disposal this winter.
