DR Congo Expands Ebola Vaccination to Ituri with 3,700 Vaccinated
The Democratic Republic of Congo has expanded Ebola vaccination to Ituri Province, the outbreak epicenter, with over 3,700 people vaccinated using the Ervebo vaccine. A study called BRAVO in Bunia aims to vaccinate 20,000 frontline workers to assess Ervebo's effectiveness against the Bundibugyo virus. The outbreak has caused 7,541 confirmed cases and 3,639 deaths, making it the deadliest in DRC history.
