On October 10, Delhi Police detained several journalists from Newslaundry, Scroll, NBT, and Reporter TV while they were covering a protest against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar near the Supreme Court area. Despite showing press IDs, some reporters were taken away and their official phones seized. Newslaundry confirmed that three of its reporters were detained but later released. Several protesting advocates were also detained.
