On October 10, 2026, during protests in Delhi, the Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) reported that over 85% of its metro network remained operational. Out of 303 stations, entry and exit were restricted at only 45 stations, about 15% of the network. Approximately 3.2 million passengers traveled that day, compared to the usual 5.8 million on a typical second Saturday. Restrictions were based on law enforcement assessments and directives. DMRC submitted this information to the Supreme Court following its October 9 order regarding metro operations during protests.
