Delhi Extends Fire Audit Rules Implementation to May 2027

The Delhi government has extended the implementation of key provisions of the Delhi Fire Service (Amendment) Rules, 2025, by 270 days, moving the start date to May 20, 2027. This delay follows slow responses from private fire safety auditors for empanelment. The amended rules introduce a third-party audit system for fire safety certificates, originally set to begin 90 days after May 26, 2026.

Mangaluru Priest Arrested for Child Sexual Assault; Church Knew Earlier

Father Cyprian Pinto of St Vincent Ferrer Church in Mangaluru, Karnataka, was arrested on October 17 for allegedly sexually abusing minors.
