Cyclone Arnab Intensifies, May Landfall Andhra Coast on Oct 28

Cyclone Arnab in the Bay of Bengal is strengthening and may make landfall between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam on Andhra Pradesh's coast on the morning of October 28. Winds could reach 115-125 km/h with gusts up to 140 km/h. The cyclone is expected to become severe by the night of October 26 and very severe by October 27. Authorities in Andhra Pradesh have been alerted. Heavy rains in Tamil Nadu's Kodaikanal flooded over 50 homes. IMD issued red alerts for coastal Andhra Pradesh and southern Odisha.
