A cyberattack on French supermarket chains including Intermarche, Netto, Cooperative U, and E. Leclerc caused refrigeration systems to fail, warming refrigerators to 50°C in about 150 stores overnight. Nearly 300 Intermarche and Netto stores, over 100 Cooperative U outlets, and several E. Leclerc locations were affected, forcing retailers to discard spoiled frozen food. Food and Agriculture Commissioner Christophe Hansen condemned the attack, highlighting food security concerns.
