Construction begins on Sadahalli overpass to ease Bengaluru airport traffic

Construction has started on a 700-metre, six-lane vehicular overpass at Sadahalli Junction on NH-44 to eliminate the only traffic signal between Hebbal and Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru. The project, awarded to Vidya Infratech Pvt Ltd for Rs 35 crore, aims to improve connectivity towards the airport and Andhra Pradesh. Completion is expected by mid-2027, with traffic diversions in place during construction.
