CJI Surya Kant Declines Meeting INDIA Bloc Leaders Before SC March

Ahead of the INDIA bloc's planned march to the Supreme Court on October 12, Chief Justice Surya Kant declined to meet opposition leaders Rahul Gandhi and Mallikarjun Kharge. The leaders sought to submit a memorandum demanding an end to alleged voter manipulation, removal of CEC Gyanesh Kumar, and restoration of paper ballots. The CJI said a meeting was inappropriate as the issues are sub judice and advised judicial approach instead.
