BusinessChina to Cut Tariffs on U.S. Farm Goods Except Soybeans
China announced tariff cuts on various U.S. agricultural products including corn, wheat, meat, and dairy, but excluded soybeans from the reduction list. The Commerce Ministry's list includes sorghum, vegetable oils, soyoil, soymeal, meat, and dairy. Soybeans still face a 10% tariff, which traders find too high. Both countries plan to form a trade council to discuss reciprocal tariff cuts on $30 billion of goods.
