In Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, an oxygen cylinder exploded inside an ambulance on Thursday evening, killing a patient and injuring two others. The deceased, Sujosh Barik (35) from Kundabai, Udala, was suffering from severe blood infection and was being taken to a hospital in Bhubaneswar. The blast occurred outside Udala Sub-Divisional Hospital when the cylinder valve was opened. The ambulance was rented from a private operator. Police suspect a sudden gas leak caused the fire and explosion. The patient died minutes after being rescued from the burning ambulance.
