Oxygen Cylinder Blast in Odisha Ambulance Kills Patient, Injures Two

In Mayurbhanj district, Odisha, an oxygen cylinder exploded inside an ambulance on Thursday evening, killing a patient and injuring two others. The deceased, Sujosh Barik (35) from Kundabai, Udala, was suffering from severe blood infection and was being taken to a hospital in Bhubaneswar. The blast occurred outside Udala Sub-Divisional Hospital when the cylinder valve was opened. The ambulance was rented from a private operator. Police suspect a sudden gas leak caused the fire and explosion. The patient died minutes after being rescued from the burning ambulance.

20-Day Traffic Restrictions for Vibhutipura Lake Drain Bridge Work in Bengaluru

From October 10, vehicular movement will be restricted for 20 days on Basavanagar Main Road in Bengaluru due to bridge construction over the Vibhutipura Lake stormwater drain. Heavy goods vehicles, BMTC and school buses, and light goods vehicles from Marathahalli, HAL, Vibhutipura, and Basavanagar towards Vignan Nagar, Kaggadasapura, Malleshpalya, and BEML will be diverted.
