The Confederation of All India Traders (CAT) estimates that trade across India will exceed ₹7 lakh crore from Navratri to Diwali this year. This growth, driven by 'Vocal for Local', 'Made in India', and 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' initiatives, is expected to boost the festive economy by 15–18% compared to last year’s record ₹6.05 lakh crore. Major festivals include Navratri, Durga Puja, Dussehra, Karwa Chauth, Dhanteras, Diwali, and others. The estimate is based on feedback from trade bodies, consumer demand, and increased activity in rural and semi-urban markets.
