BRS Sends Legal Notice to Telugu Daily Over Water Diversion Claims

The Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) has issued a legal notice to the Telugu newspaper Velugu, owned by Congress Minister Gaddam Vivek Venkatswamy, over allegations that water from Kondapochamma Sagar Reservoir was diverted to former CM K Chandrashekar Rao’s farmhouse in Erravalli village, Siddipet district. BRS demands an unconditional front-page apology, threatening defamation action if not complied with. The Velugu report included images of a water-filled well and satellite photos of Panduranga Cheruvu lake, alleging it was dry in 2017 but filled by 2021 from the reservoir linked to the Kaleshwaram project.
