West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari accused opposition parties of politicising the Chorbagan Durga Puja stampede instead of supporting victims. He visited Priya Samaddar's family, one of the 19 victims, in New Barrackpore and handed over Rs 25 lakh compensation. The stampede in north Kolkata killed 19 and injured 25. Adhikari questioned opposition's response, saying only Ritabrata Banerjee's faction remains relevant.
