Banks Closed on October 20 for Dussehra Across Most Indian Cities

Banks in most parts of India will remain closed on Tuesday, October 20, 2026, due to Dussehra and other regional festivals. The Reserve Bank of India has declared a bank holiday in major cities for observances like Dusshera, Maha Navami, Ayudha Pooja, and Durga Puja. Branches of SBI, HDFC, ICICI, PNB, and Bank of Baroda will be closed except in Gangtok and Imphal, where banks remain open.
