Scientists at Nanyang Technological University, Singapore, have developed ultra-thin transparent solar cells, 10,000 times thinner than a human hair. These semi-transparent, color-neutral cells can be applied to any glass surface like windows, car windshields, and smart glasses, enabling solar power generation without altering appearance. Though less efficient than conventional panels, they work in direct and diffuse sunlight and could transform clean energy adoption in urban areas.
