Youth kills girl, then dies by jumping from building in Vijayawada

In Vijayawada, 22-year-old M. Chinna Rao allegedly slit the throat of 19-year-old Mahalakshmi before jumping from a multi-storeyed building, dying on the spot. Rao, originally from Srikakulam district, had been stalking Mahalakshmi and proposed marriage, which her family rejected. Mahalakshmi is in critical condition at Government General Hospital. Police have registered a case and are investigating.
