In Tamil Nadu, over 60 volunteers from Saaisha India knit and crochet cotton breast prostheses called “knockers” and cotton caps for pediatric cancer patients. These handmade items are distributed across India to individuals and hospitals. The volunteers meet bi-monthly and participate in public events to raise breast cancer awareness, especially about early detection during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October.
