Woman Dies After Stepson Sets Her on Fire in Udhampur

A 40-year-old woman named Sushma Devi died from severe burn injuries after her step-son, Moksh Verma, allegedly poured diesel on her and set her on fire at their home in Housing Colony, Udhampur. She suffered burns over 70% of her body and was treated at District Hospital Udhampur before being referred to Government Medical College, Jammu, where she succumbed. The accused has been detained and is under investigation.
