Woman Dies After Falling From 7th Floor Hotel Window in Brazil

A 26-year-old woman, Renata Rebeca Negrao Saldanha dos Santos, died after the aluminium frame of a hotel window broke as she leaned against it, causing her to fall from the seventh floor of the Rio Poty Hotel in São Luís, Maranhão, Brazil. The incident occurred around 1:30 am. Her boyfriend was present but cleared of involvement after police review of surveillance footage. The cause of the window failure is under investigation.
