West Bengal Forms SIT to Probe Durga Puja Stampede Killing 19

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced a Special Investigation Team led by a Calcutta High Court judge to investigate a stampede at a Durga Puja pandal in Kolkata that killed 19 people. Two victims were from Muzaffarpur, Bihar. The incident occurred on Saptami evening at Chor Bagan amid rain and narrow lanes. Seven arrests include the puja organiser and security staff. At least 25 were injured, one critically.
