West Bengal CM Announces Land, Housing for Matua Refugees

West Bengal Chief Minister Suvendu Adhikari announced that Matua refugees from Bangladesh will be provided land and housing in the state. He promised their release from jail and citizenship under the CAA, followed by inclusion in the voter list. The announcement was made at the 2nd International Matua Gosai Conference in Thakurnagar, North 24 Parganas. Matua is a backward Hindu community originally from Bangladesh.
