ScienceWebb Telescope Finds Fewer Tiny Worlds Beyond Neptune Than Expected
Astronomers using the Webb Telescope discovered that tiny icy bodies beyond Neptune are less common than predicted by some models. These trans-Neptunian objects (TNOs) are remnants from the early solar system and their colors suggest they may retain clues about their formation. The findings challenge previous expectations about the abundance of small objects in this distant region.
