Weak Password 'Password1' Exposed Data of 3,300 Mostly Children

A cyberattack on November 1, 2024, exposed personal data of 3,300 people, mostly children, after hackers accessed an account protected by the weak password "Password1." The account, active since 2012, should have been deleted earlier. Ogi Networks Limited and Data Cymru were reprimanded by the UK's Information Commissioner's Office for breaching GDPR by failing to protect data and update security. Hackers encrypted 182.7GB and stole 42GB of data.
