Water release to Chitradurga withheld until ICC meeting, says S S Mallikarjun

The government noted the directive to release an additional one tmc ft of water from Bhadra reservoir to Upper Bhadra canal in Chitradurga. However, District In-charge Minister S S Mallikarjun requested the water resources minister to delay the decision until the Irrigation Consultative Committee meeting and consult all Davangere MLAs. Additionally, Rs 195 crore has been sanctioned to reconstruct the dilapidated Chigateri District Hospital in Davangere, with work expected to complete in five months.
