Wakefit Plans Jumbo Stores and Factories to Rival IKEA

Wakefit Innovations Limited, based in Bengaluru, plans to expand its home-products business by combining large-scale manufacturing with a growing retail network. The company aims to manufacture 99% of its products, targeting 100% in the long term. It will open two jumbo stores over 1.5 lakh sq ft each, starting with Bengaluru, investing Rs 100 crore per store. Founder Ankit Garg envisions over 200 such stores nationwide to compete with IKEA.
