Several voters from Kotia gram panchayat, disputed between Odisha and Andhra Pradesh, crossed into Andhra Pradesh to vote in mandal and zilla parishad elections. Odisha deployed 16 police platoons and set up border checkpoints to restrict movement, but some voters sneaked through. Andhra Pradesh set up a polling booth at Sariki near the border. Odisha leaders accused Andhra Pradesh of bribery to influence votes.
