Vishal Mega Mart Ltd reported a 14% revenue increase to ₹3,398.5 crore in the September quarter, but net profit rose only 3.7% to ₹157.9 crore. The retailer is maintaining low entry-level prices while raising prices on higher-end products. It is also piloting a premium apparel brand, Belong & Co., and testing smaller stores alongside larger formats to attract new customers and protect affordability. Operating margins narrowed and shares dropped 8.2%, partly due to a shifted festive calendar.
