Violence During Andhra Pradesh Local Body Election Nominations

During the nomination process for local body elections in Andhra Pradesh, 45 incidents of violence, vandalism, and stone-pelting were reported over two days. Police registered 31 cases on Thursday across 13 districts and 14 cases on Friday in 8 districts. Anantapur saw the highest violence. 54 people were named as accused, with attacks targeting candidates from TDP, YSRCP, CPI(M), and independents. Additional forces were deployed in sensitive areas.
