Vijayapura DEO Orders Inquiry into Fake Death Declarations

K. Anand, Deputy Commissioner and District Election Officer of Vijayapura, has ordered an inquiry into allegations that some objectors created false death certificates to remove voters from electoral rolls during the Systematic Intensive Revision. At least eight people submitted a memorandum claiming they were falsely declared dead in Form 7 applications. One affected teacher, Allama Bagwan, was shocked to learn of a third-party objection stating she had died.
