Very severe cyclonic storm Arnab began affecting coastal Andhra Pradesh early Tuesday, bringing gusty winds and heavy rain. The cyclone, moving at 22 kmph, is centered about 260 km from Visakhapatnam and expected to make landfall between Bapatla and Visakhapatnam near Yanam by Wednesday morning. Wind speeds may reach 115–125 kmph with gusts up to 140 kmph. Authorities urge people to stay indoors and avoid travel.
