Hyderabad's new Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat is renowned for its architecture inspired by the 19th-century Vanaparthy Fort in Mahbubnagar. Built by Raja II Rameshwar Rao, the fort was ruled by 13 kings and 3 queens. After independence, Raja J. Rameshwar Rao donated much of the fort for education, leading to the establishment of the first polytechnic college by Pandit Nehru in 1959. The fort remains a unique symbol of education and architecture.
