Uttarakhand Voter Count Drops by 8 Lakh in Final Electoral Roll

The final electoral roll for Uttarakhand, released after the Special Intensive Revision (SIR), lists about 71.58 lakh voters, nearly 8 lakh fewer than the 79.6 lakh voters at the start of the SIR on June 8. The Congress claims a larger drop from 85.19 lakh to 71.58 lakh voters. The draft roll on July 14 had 71.33 lakh voters, with claims processed until September 28 before the final roll was published on October 3.
