The state highlighted actions including forming a Special Investigation Team, securing life imprisonment for three accused, and acting within 24 hours. Ankita, a 19-year-old receptionist from Pauri Garhwal, was murdered in September 2022.

DoT Mandates Caller Name Presentation on 4G and 5G from November

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) has instructed all authorized telecom service providers to implement Caller Name Presentation (CNAP) on 4G and 5G networks nationwide starting November 1.
