Uttarakhand Bans Gutka, Pan Masala Containing Tobacco for One Year

The Uttarakhand government has banned the manufacture, storage, sale, and distribution of gutka, pan masala, and other food products containing tobacco or nicotine for one year. The order, issued by Food Safety Commissioner Vinay Shankar Pandey, aims to protect public health under the Food Safety and Standards Regulations, 2011. Gujarat has also extended its similar ban until September 2027 due to oral cancer risks.
